We all want to pay less for car insurance.

We try to find the lowest insurance we can for our car.

Most of us don't like having to pay for insurance because there are lots of other things we would prefer to spend our money on. But in most countries a minimum level of insurance is required.

Finding the lowest car insurance is an annual ritual for most of us.

We'd prefer not to have it, until we need it !

How to find the lowest auto insurance?

Start early

Don't put off the process of finding out how much you could save by getting the lowest cost car insurance. Like other boring tasks there's always the temptation to put it off until you have to. Finding the lowest auto insurance is never going to be fun. There will always be something more interesting. Set aside some time, put it in your diary and don't let anything or anyone distract you.

Leave until the last moment and you can bet that something really urgent comes up too and you don't get round to finding the lowest cost insurance. In this case you may end up automatically renewing with your existing insurance company.

How long are you going to spend looking for low car insurance? How long can you afford to spend? Are you are self employed? Do you plenty of work? Can you earn more in an hour than you expect to be able to save if you spent that same hour looking for a lower insurance quote? If the answer is "yes" then you  would be better off if you spend your time working than if you spend the time searching for lowest cost car insurance.
